About Me

My name is Danielle. I am a first time mom to a very handsome little boy, Wyatt who born in September 2010. My husband Brad is the best husband a wife could want.  I love the Lord and I want to live a life pleasing to Him.

My biggest prayer is to stay home, raise my son and create the best home for he and my husband. Unfortunately neither my husband nor I had very good money management skills the first several years we  were married.  We are now focusing on getting out of debt, buying things strictly “cash on the barrel.” and budgeting our spending. Lord has given us a wonderful opportunity to correct our financial mindset and refocus our goals. It will take time, but we will get there and I will be able to stay home.

In the meantime I am learning how to work full-time and still create a home that I know is so essential to a strong marriage and a healthy child. After 4 months off for “maternity leave” I worked full-time from home for the entire year in 2011.  What a blessing!  Now, with management changes I am required to go back to the office full-time, five days a week.  I’m not sure how this is going to work out but we have to try it until we feel we can make it on one salary.

I love to cook. I am rather excited about learning traditional food preperation and cooling real food. This is a whole new way of thinking and cooking and preparing food and it’s exciting. The Lord has laid it on my heart to prepare our meals mainly from scratch and make as much of our food as possible.  Loosing 2 hours a day traveling two and from work is going to make this challenging but with God’s grace I will get it done.

As Brad and I embark on the adventure of parenting and continue to build our marriage I hope to share many experiences with you. This blog is for you too.  I want you to feel at home and at ease to share your struggles and thoughts too.

Blessings!
Danielle

  1. Thank u Danielle! This is truly something I will read & follow. Bill & I are truly in the same boat, but the series at church has me looking at our finances in a whole new light!
