That Time of the Month

It’s that time of the month again.

No, no not That time of the month….the other time of the month.

Time for me to go grocery shopping.

What were you think!?

Truthfully I enjoy grocery shopping.  I love when I can stay within my budget at any give store (it’s the extra trips to the store that hurt our budget.).

I love buying ingredients that I will use to make great (and sometimes not so great) meals.

I don’t mind reading labels or comparing prices.  Heck, I even have a price comparison spreadsheet of our frequently bought items that I update every other month based on my receipts and prices I jot down while at the store.

Waning Love

As much as I love shopping the love is starting to wane just a bit.

Why?

Time is at a premium these days.  Working out of the house 40 hours with an hour a day drive time has given me less time to get things done at home, less time to be with my little man and my big man.

I enjoy being in my home with my family cooking, cleaning and the like.  So when I have to be out and about it makes me cringe.

Maybe God is trying to work out this cave-man tendency I have to want to stay holed-up at home.  I don’t know.    I’ll have to pray about that.

Are you a home body or do you like to be out and about?

Until Next Time,

Be Blessed

  1. I’m definitely a home-body! Even though I am blessed to stay at home with our children, I enjoy it. The only time I want to be out without everyone is normally when we are all sick. For some reason that just seems to really drain me, so I just need some time to re-coop. 🙂 Grocery shopping has become a very bittersweet task for me as well. I think I hate how much I spend, just to spend it again next month! 😉
